It is earned only by facilities that meet Mercury's most rigorous requirements for technician training, facility standards, and customer service excellence. Very few dealerships in South Florida and the Florida Keys hold this designation. In the saltwater environment of the Florida Keys, regular maintenance is not optional. It is essential. As a general rule, outboard engines should be serviced every 100 hours of operation or once a year, whichever comes first. A 300-hour service is recommended for more comprehensive inspection and maintenance of wear items. Beyond scheduled intervals, you should have your boat inspected any time you notice changes in performance, unusual engine sounds, increased fuel consumption, or difficulty starting. Catching small issues early is always less expensive than dealing with a major failure on the water.

Our 20-hour service is a break-in service for new engines, ensuring everything is properly seated and functioning correctly right from the start.

Our 100-hour service covers all the critical maintenance items your outboard needs to stay reliable. This includes an oil filter change, fuel filter change, gearcase drain and seal service, greasing all points, corrosion inspection, and a full engine systems diagnostic.

Our 300-hour service is a more comprehensive overhaul covering everything in the 100-hour service plus thermostat and clamp inspection and replacement, spark plug replacement, water pump impeller kit replacement, belt and anode replacement, gearcase drain seal service, fuel filter replacement, oil filter change, and greasing all points throughout.

Our 1000-hour service is a complete top-to-bottom engine overhaul recommended for high-use vessels and covers a full inspection and replacement of all major wear components.

Yes. BTH Marine operates an ASCOM BHT 80-ton travel lift capable of hauling vessels up to 70 feet in length with a maximum beam of 24 feet. This makes us one of the few facilities in the Florida Keys equipped to haul large offshore center consoles, catamarans, and multi-engine vessels. Whether you need a haul-out for bottom paint, a full refit, or major repairs, our facility has the equipment to handle it.

BTH Marine offers dry boat storage at our Key Largo facility. We do not offer wet slip storage, but our full marina with direct oceanside access means we can haul your boat in and out as needed, giving you the convenience of having your vessel stored safely on land while keeping it ready to launch whenever you want to get out on the water.

Our founder Tommy 'Chief' Hofstetter has been building and rigging high-performance marine engines his entire career, and that expertise is behind every multi-engine build that leaves our facility.

Seakeeper and Seakeeper Ride are two distinct stabilization technologies that transform the on-water experience, and BTH Marine is an authorized dealer and certified installer for both.

The Seakeeper gyroscope is a below-deck gyroscopic stabilizer that eliminates up to 95% of boat roll at rest and underway. It works by spinning a flywheel at high speed inside a sealed vacuum enclosure, generating forces that counteract the rolling motion of your vessel. It is one of the most impactful upgrades available for any boat.

The Seakeeper Ride is a different system designed to control pitch and roll while underway at speed. Using active trim tabs and sensors that read your vessel's motion hundreds of times per second, the Seakeeper Ride makes automatic real-time adjustments to keep your boat flat and comfortable through chop, wakes, and rough water.
